WHAT WE BELIEVE

HARVESTIME'S VISION

To be a point-man (frontline) church, fully engaged in the battle for souls. This means we are bold in prayer, in worship, and in our declaration of God’s word to this generation. Our goal is to develop believers who are passionate about reaching the lost, have an offensive mindset, and are ready to go and impact this world for Jesus Christ.

HARVESTIME'S MISSION

To be a Spirit-filled family church, training up mission-minded people with a burden to share Christ here in our community and to the ends of the earth. To this end, we are dedicated to building strong believers, marriages, and families to serve our generation by the will of God. (Acts 13:36)

STATEMENT OF FAITH

1. We believe the scriptures (the canonical books of the Old and New Testaments) to be: the infallible Word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit; the only perfect order of our faith and manner of living to which nothing can be added nor taken away; the power of God unto salvation to believers. (2 Tim. 3:16-17; Rev. 22:18-19; Rom. 1:16)

2. We believe there is only one living and true God, Creator of heaven and earth, and in the one God are three distinct persons: The Father, Son and the Holy Spirit. (Deut. 6:4; Col. 1:16; Matt. 11:25; Rom. 10:9; 2 Cor. 3:1; John 10:30; Matt. 28:19)

3. We believe God created man in His own image; that all men have sinned and may be reconciled to God only through repentance and faith in the atoning death of Jesus Christ. (Gen. 1:26; Rom. 3:24-25; Acts 4:12)

4. We believe Jesus Christ to be true God and true man and through His death and His blood shed at Calvary, the only Savior. We believe in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of God the Father, and in His future personal return in power and glory. (John 1:1; Matt. 16:6; Phil. 2:6-7; I John 1:7; Eph. 1:7; Eph 2:31; Acts 1:10-11; Matt. 26:64; Matt. 22:44; Heb. 9:28; I Thes. 4:16; Matt. 24:30; John 14:3)

5. We believe the present ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ, to convict men of sin, to indwell, guide, build faith, instruct, and empower the believer of Godly living and service. This includes His distribution and operation of gifts according to His will, for the building up of the body of Christ. (Acts 2:4,11; John 5:6,7; John 16:8; John 14:17; I John 4:13; John 16:13; Jude 1:20; John 14:26; I Cor. 2:12,13; John 1:12; Acts 1:8; I Cor. 12:14; Eph. 4:12-16)

6. We believe in the baptism in the Holy Spirit as an experience received subsequent to salvation. We also believe the manifestation of the gifts granted by the Holy Spirit to be for the common good of the Body of Christ, His Church. (Acts 8:14-17; Acts 2:38; Matt. 3:11; Mark 1:8; Luke 3:16; I Cor. 12:1-26)
